At Razorpay’s roundtable on “Merchant Service 3.0: Autonomous, Predictive, AI-Led,” senior leaders from across the banking and payments ecosystem came together to exchange perspectives on the future of merchant servicing. The room brought together voices spanning product leadership, architecture, merchant acquiring, customer service management, and acceptance infrastructure from leading banks and payment networks. A few themes stood out during the discussion: • Service reliability and uptime are becoming competitive differentiators, not just operational metrics. • The shift from reactive support to predictive servicing is beginning to reshape how POS networks manage merchant issues. • Merchant stickiness increasingly comes from ecosystems and value-added services, not just payment acceptance. • A growing concern across the ecosystem is “silent merchant attrition”- merchants who stop transacting without raising a complaint. • As AI begins to power diagnostics and service workflows, an important question emerged: who owns accountability when AI-driven servicing makes decisions? Rolling out in beta, Replit will go live with Razorpay’s Payments Suite, allowing Indian users to pay, receive payments & monetise apps via familiar methods like UPI and cards. Our farm was also affected — the gaushala sustained damage, a few trees were uprooted, and parts of our bamboo infrastructure were impacted. But this post is not about the damage. It is a reminder — that farming is not just production, it is a living system. And when nature shifts, farmers are the first to experience it. We are okay. Work continues. A little tired, a little shaken — but not defeated. We are not accepting any financial support. But if you truly want to be part of this system: - Connect with farmers around you - Buy directly from them - If possible, spend time on a farm — learn, contribute, and engage This system becomes stronger when the relationship between consumers and farmers becomes stronger.
