24 Hours, 200 Hackers, and a Little Bit of Magic: Hack Hack Goose Recap🌼 On April 3-4, we hosted Hack Hack Goose at UT Austin for our spring hackathon, which is typically our smaller, more intimate one. For 24 hours, our halls were filled with first-time hackers, first-generation students, and people from all kinds of majors coming together to build something, with Harnold cheering everyone on the whole way! This year, we had 400+ applications, 200 hackers, 8 volunteers, 15 judges, and 63 organizers & executives who poured their hearts into every detail. We kicked things off with a career fair & networking session because some of the best connections happen before a single line of code is written. Throughout the event, hackers jumped into workshops on team building & ideation, VIBE coding, Gemini + TechTogether, and pitching, giving everyone the tools to build confidently and present their best work. And don’t worry, everyone's bellies were full as we served meals and treats from local favorites, keeping energy high throughout the event. And in between the hacking, there were karaoke, movie nights, game nights, egg painting, and therapy dogs to keep the energy going (and the stress down). A huge thank you to our partners at Hudson River Trading, Virtu Financial, and The BHW Group. Thank you to everyone who made Hack Hack Goose possible: hackers, mentors, judges, volunteers, organizers, and executives. Your time, energy, and dedication built this amazing community.🐥🌿 Until next time, from Harnold and the whole Hack Hack Goose team.🪿🧺 #HackHackGoose #Hackathon #UTAustin
