Ask any questions about the Wikimedia Phabricator installation itself here.
For anything not about Phabricator itself (in particular extensions, skins etc. whose issues are tracked on Phabricator), see Communication instead.

Account Disabled

[edit]

My Phabricator account was automatically disabled. I am a GSoC 2026 applicant working on T415272 (Modularization + Jetpack Compose for Commons Android). I believe the account was flagged due to creating and editing proposal tasks. My username is ShoaibKhalid65. Could you please re-enable my account? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shoaibkhalid65 (talk • contribs) 11:34, 31 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Very old Phab ticket - numbered bugs

[edit]

If you make a new section on a talkpage with the same name as a pre-existing section, and you don't leave an editsummary, the link in the editsummary incorrectly points to the the first instance.

I was looking at T66147 and the problem still exists, yet the ticket was closed as a duplicate of bug 111.

It looks like the ticket was imported from a bugzilla installation at some point.

Should I just make a new ticket?

It is possible bug 111 refers to this but that is an unpublished commit that no longer exists in the repo. Polygnotus (talk) 06:12, 16 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Polygnotus IIUC, bug 111 refers to (what was) bugzilla:111[archived at [1]], which now redirects to (the open task) phab:T2111. Does that task match the issue you're describing?
(For what it's worth, I believe that - for imported Bugzilla tasks - their Phab task IDs are their Bugzilla IDs + 2000.)

@A smart kitten Meow! Thanks, looks like this bug has been reported at least half a billion times between 2004 and now but since its low priority it will never get done. Ideally you'd have a cron script that slowly increases the priority of very old bugs. Or maybe the WMF should start a cold cases team. Polygnotus (talk) 12:50, 16 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Account Disabled

[edit]

My account appears to have been mistakenly disabled while I was creating tasks related to the Wikimedia Hackathon. I believe this may have been an error.

For reference, I am the administrator of the Toolforge tool “ghanasupremecases1.” I would appreciate a review of the account status and assistance in resolving this issue. My Username is Sunkanmi12 Sunkanmi12 (talk) 13:16, 30 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
