Even routine engineering work can become a security challenge at Meta scale. On Android, applications communicate using intents, but the system doesn’t verify who published the receiving applications. That gap could allow a spoofed application to intercept sensitive data. To solve this challenge, product security engineers at Meta, Alexander Kube and Tanu Jain, built a secure link launcher framework that verifies application identity before sharing data. 🎧 Listen to episode 83 to hear how we designed AI-enabled systems that make the secure path the default: https://go.meta.me/1220bc #LifeAtMeta #MetaCareers #engineering
