About us

Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. We are driven by the excitement of building technologies, inventing products, and providing services that change lives. We embrace new ways of doing things, make decisions quickly, and are not afraid to fail. We have the scope and capabilities of a large company, and the spirit and heart of a small one. Together, Amazonians research and develop new technologies from Amazon Web Services to Alexa on behalf of our customers: shoppers, sellers, content creators, and developers around the world. Our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Our actions, goals, projects, programs, and inventions begin and end with the customer top of mind. You'll also hear us say that at Amazon, it's always "Day 1." What do we mean? That our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon's very first day - to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and focus on delighting our customers.

Big news from Zoox today: Service will be expanding in San Francisco and Las Vegas soon, including the LAS airport. Plus, deploying soon in Austin and Miami, and new product features are rolling out. Pumped to see more customers try this. It’s really like nothing else. No driver. No steering wheel. Just an incredibly cool experience. This clip is from Vegas. Got picked up at Resorts World and did a loop around the city. You’ve got comfy seats, chargers for your devices, and face-to-face time with the people you’re riding with. So cool, you almost don’t want to get out once you get to your destination. Congrats to the Zoox team on today's announcement, and on the work you’ve done to create an awesome product. Pumped about what’s ahead.

UK customers, we hear you loud and clear 🇬🇧. Alexa+ Early Access is rolling out to British customers starting today.     Pumped to see customers get this. Our Cambridge tech team built Alexa+ to be authentically British and tuned in to how people from across the country actually communicate. She knows what a "cuppa" is, understands 40 UK dialects from Geordie to Scouse, and may even drop "you're taking the mickey" into conversation.     Beyond the slang, she gets UK nuances like saying "the 15th of March" instead of "March 15th" or understanding that "entrée" refers to a starter, not a main course. Getting these details right is the difference between feeling understood and feeling like you're talking to a translator.     She's also integrated with trusted UK sources like The Guardian, The Independent, and Press Association, plus OpenTable to make life easier. She can do things like ask questions about the news and book restaurants through natural conversation, and can take action in the real world for you.     Super proud of the teams launching this. Hoping my friends from the comments enjoy the upgraded assistant they've been asking for.     Check out the details here: https://lnkd.in/gvUnTzjb

Amazon's always been known for fast delivery, and it just keeps getting faster. From bananas to headphones, the things people order most through Amazon's new 1-hour and 3-hour delivery options might surprise you. Over 90,000 items are now deliverable in three hours or less — everything from everyday essentials to those last-minute "oh no, I forgot" moments. However you want to announce it, the news is the same: 1-hour delivery is available in hundreds of U.S. cities and towns, and 3-hour delivery is already live in 2,000 cities and towns. 📦

I’ve been using Health AI, our agentic health assistant to ask questions about my health. It’s personalized, which means that it knows my health records, what prescriptions I take, and the relationship I have with my doctor. Recently, I asked Health AI to look at the results from my last few annual physicals and suggest things I might do to improve my health. Based on my health history, it shared some very specific recommendations for diet and exercise. And it suggested a few supplements I could take, with an easy option to purchase directly from Amazon. I clicked the buy button and they were delivered to my house the next morning. That’s the magic of Health AI—it’s not just answers, it’s directly connected to real care options too. Health AI can connect you directly to One Medical providers via message or video, or help you schedule an in-person appointment. It can also help manage prescription renewals with Amazon Pharmacy or the pharmacy of your choice. And we do all this while ensuring our HIPAA-compliant privacy and security practices keep customer information safe and secure. Health AI is now available on Amazon.com, in the Amazon App, and the One Medical app. And we have a special offer for U.S. Prime members—free consultations with a licensed One Medical provider. I hope you'll give it a try! https://lnkd.in/gDgyXkY5

First impressions matter — and Amazon's new Munich office delivers. 🥨 The MUC21 office was designed with one thing in mind: creating an environment where employees can do their best work. With amenities like a canteen, café, yoga rooms and 800 bike parking spaces alongside modern, collaborative workspaces, this is a place rooted in the local culture that makes Munich one of Europe's most dynamic cities — and built for the people who are ready to invent every day. ✨
