    📖 Let me tell you a story of how I think we can solve the data trust and quality crisis we face today... 📖 Imagine this: Your company has just launched a new data product. Everyone is excited, the KPIs look great, and users are relying on it for key business decisions. But soon, questions start popping up. "Why don’t these numbers match what we saw last quarter?" "Are these KPIs based on solid data?" The data team assures them that the numbers are correct—but they know the reality. Behind the scenes, data quality isn’t always perfect, and sometimes they’re forced to deliver results based on optimistic estimates. The trust gap begins to grow. This is where the Trust-Tiered Interfaces pattern comes into play. 💡 With this approach, instead of delivering one opaque interface, the product offers users three clear choices: - High Confidence Interface 🔒: Where users get only the rock-solid, validated data—perfect for making high-stakes decisions with confidence. - Optimistic Interface 🌟: Optional, but more comprehensive, where corrected data is included. It gives a broader view, while still based on accurate info. - Data Quality Interface 🔍: Here's the game-changer—an interface that shows exactly how reliable the data is. It’s fully transparent about the sources, gaps, and uncertainties, so users know what they’re dealing with. Before this, most teams offered either the high confidence or optimistic view without giving users insight into data quality. But hiding those imperfections was a loophole—one that quietly allowed issues to slip from one data product to another. 🔑 Here’s the truth: Data will never be perfect, and that’s okay! The key is being upfront about it. By offering the Trust-Tiered Interfaces, data teams can empower users to understand the quality of the data they’re working with. This increases trust not only in the data but in the product and the team itself. Imagine a world where every business decision is made on the right data, with full awareness of its limitations.     At PwC, we've learned that the biggest barrier to scaling enterprise AI isn't model capability: it's trust. Here's how we think about that problem. Every new technology faces the same deadlock: you don't use it because you don't trust it, and you don't trust it because you don't use it. The way out is usually a trust proxy, a visible marker that tells people it's safe to change their behavior. The SSL padlock is the classic example. Ecommerce was technically possible in the 1990s, but adoption stalled because typing a credit card into a browser felt reckless. The padlock didn't create security, the encryption was already there. It made security visible. Enterprise AI faces the same issue. The models work. Real solutions exist. But capability is compounding faster than confidence. You see it in cautious adoption: professionals double-checking outputs the system got right. Not because the models aren't good enough, but because there's no structured way to show they've been rigorously evaluated by people who know what good looks like. These aren't capability problems. They're trust infrastructure problems. That's what we built Evaluation Navigator and the Human Alignment Center to address. 📊 Evaluation Navigator gives AI teams a consistent, repeatable way to evaluate solutions across the development lifecycle, with shared guidance and standardized reporting. The Human Alignment Center translates that judgment into dashboards and audit trails that governance leaders can actually act on. The padlock made invisible security visible. Evaluation infrastructure does the same for AI. Adoption is a trailing indicator of trust, so as evaluation becomes visible and accessible, adoption follows.

    One of the pharmaceutical giants finally reached the holy grail. 0 mortality.  When a dashboard shows zero mortality, it should be a moment of relief.  But this turned out to be a red flag. The dashboard was clearly wrong. Because the day before, this number wasn’t zero.  Suddenly, the conversation between the developer and executive leadership shifted from insights…to doubt. In healthcare, or any public-facing domain, data analytics can’t afford to be wrong.  A single incorrect value can:  👉🏻 erode trust  👉🏻 delay decisions   👉🏻 impact lives The real question isn’t 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘣𝘰𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘻𝘦𝘳𝘰? It’s 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘧𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘴𝘢𝘸 𝘪𝘵?  This is because Data Governance isn’t enough anymore. Governance needs to continue right to the last mile to ensure dashboards are accurate and reliable.  And that’s why I believe dashboards should be consumed like any other product. With visible indicators of quality.  Like a checkmark for data consumers: “𝘠𝘦𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘢 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘶𝘴𝘦.”  Automated certification does just this. It continuously validates dashboards, flags issues proactively, and provides trust marks that reassure users. It’s not just about catching errors. It’s about preventing them.  It’s about giving those executives the confidence to act, without second-guessing the data. If you’re building dashboards for healthcare, public policy, or any domain where lives are impacted, ask yourself: Is your dashboard certified? If not, why not? 💡 Would your critical dashboards pass certification today?
