I have never felt more energized at work than I have in the last year, and a lot of that has to do with how we're using AI at Zapier, and that I get to be a builder of technology for the first time. Something I've learned after hundreds of interviews and conversations with peers: every company is telling their people to "go build AI fluency" but most aren't actually telling them HOW! Your employees have so many great ideas for builds that would increase their efficiency, or take some annoying process off their plates, freeing them up to take on more interesting and innovative work. But they're stuck in a waiting game. They're waiting on their manager to give them permission. They're waiting on IT to approve the tool, give them access, or tell them this is an acceptable use case. Or their builds end up super manual because they aren't allowed to connect all their systems. It's been eye-opening how much of a blocker this is. People are literally citing "the opportunity to use AI" as a reason they want to work at Zapier. Why isn't this a challenge for us? We approach AI governance a bit differently - it's built into our infrastructure. And this week, we've shipped this for our customers. Six new governance capabilities that give your IT department real control over connections, actions, models, everything...without making every builder file a ticket and wait. The guardrails are built in, which means if the system allows it, it must be OK. :) That's how we operate, and instead of a handful of builders trying to keep up with requests, everyone is a builder. We're all shipping fully built-out solutions and moving faster. We're also opening our AI Leaders Lab on April 23. It'll be a small group conversation hosted by Brandon Sammut with people from Airbnb, Netflix, Rippling, and Indeed on what enterprise AI governance actually looks like in practice!

AI turned every employee into a builder Now Zapier makes sure every single one of them builds safely👇 • IT decides what the AI can and can't do • Each team gets its own space to build • Every action is logged and searchable One platform. Every team. Your rules. Next Thursday, hear how leaders at Airbnb, Rippling, and Indeed got there. For the first time, we're opening our invite-only AI Leaders Lab to the public. One day only. Meetings have become the new 9-5. Most of them end with… ❌ No decisions ❌ No action ❌ No ownership The real problem often isn’t the meeting itself - it’s the prep and follow-up. To make your life easier, create an AI agent to handle the boring parts: - Pull an agenda from Slack - Extract decisions - Draft follow-ups & owners automatically Here’s how to do it in under 20 minutes with Zapier Copilot: Step 1: Go to zapier(.)com/app - Paste this prompt “I want a workflow that creates a meeting agenda from Slack messages and automatically drafts a follow up email by extracting data from Fireflies AI.” Switch fireflies for your noting app of choice! Step 2: Paste the workflow into Zapier - Go to agents(.)zapier(.)com/bots and paste the workflow Step 3: Set it to run it before and after each meeting - Add a trigger → Select “Schedule by Zapier” → Pick hourly, daily, or weekly. Step 4: Connect your tools - Let it pull info from the tools you already use (e.g. Slack, Fireflies.ai). Step 5: Choose the Slack channel For your agenda - Link your Slack account and add the channel to get it started. Step 6: Connect your meeting tool - Add Fireflies(.)ai (or similar) to auto-draft follow-up emails after each meeting. Step 7: Preview the workflow - Make sure the steps run cleanly and generate agendas + summaries correctly. Step 8: Turn on the agent - Now every meeting gets an agenda and a follow-up email. Meetings take over when you don’t take control. - Set this up once, and watch your day start feeling like yours again! 📌 Want to waste less time in meetings? Try Zapier Copilot yourself - no coding needed: https://bit.ly/4tJnZ7M ♻️ Share this with your network to help them run better meetings. ➕ Follow me (Will McTighe) for more like this. #ZapierPartner

After 3 years building RevOps at Zapier, I'm stepping into something new: Director of GTM Innovation. In this role, I'm focused on how AI can make revenue teams faster and sharper, and customer experiences smoother. I built our RevOps and Marketing Ops functions from the ground up.  It's been one of the most rewarding (and challenging) chapters of my career. During that time, AI has transformed how we work across our entire go-to-market. Not just the big obvious stuff, but the handoffs, the decision points, and the in-between moments where work tends to break down. I'm really grateful that Zapier is supporting me in going deeper on what AI-powered GTM actually looks like in practice, both internally and with customers. I'll also get to spend more time with marketing, sales, and RevOps leaders working through real questions: where to start, what's actually worth building, how to do it, and how to measure whether it's working. As part of this, I'm running a small number of 1:1 sessions with GTM leaders to learn quickly, share what we've seen so far, and talk through where AI fits in your GTM stack + where to focus first. If you're running coordinated GTM at scale and curious how we're applying AI on top of a stack where Zapier is a core workflow engine, I'd love to hear from you...comment or DM and we'll grab some time. Huge thank you to Navid Zolfaghari, Dan Slagen, and the amazing RevOps team at Zapier for everything we built together. Really excited for what's ahead.

It's wild living in phase 3 of AI Transformation, a few things stick out to me. Phase 1 was about how-to 10x content. Barrier to entry was low, anyone could be an expert by the end of the day. The unlocks were people that wanted to invest in prompting and were both resilient and curious. Phase 2 saw roles and functions start to get enhanced and the mundane parts automated. The barrier to entry was higher, but you had help from the companies selling. Unlock here was people who could adapt systems and produce quality work vs. just more of it. Phase 3 is where the most excitement and uncertainty lives. First of all, because the barrier to entry has been much higher than in phase 1 and 2. It's hard for non-technical folks to jump into what looks like a coding agent. We're starting to see non-technical solutions arrive which seems like phase 4, but the most successful people are/will be the ones that understand the unlocks of phase 3 - those who want to build, are willing to learn, and have access to the tools. Those three things are less certain than previous unlocks during phase 1 and 2.

We launched Zapier's SDK into open beta one week ago. Hundreds of you built something. Here are a few of my favorites so far: Brody Berson, a solutions engineer here, built "Jarvis", a Zapier-powered OpenClaw bot you can message like a coworker. It makes real API calls to real apps through the SDK - no Zaps needed. He gave Jarvis the full power of Zapier with one authentication. Check out the screengrabs. A solo founder showed us a clickable prototype. 45 minutes later, he had a prototype, using the SDK to orchestrate agents across Gmail, Slack, Calendar, and Stripe. One customer was using the SDK so much, he kept hitting our API rate limit. He was polling Linear, Figma, Notion, and Slack every 3-5 minutes across to triage support and threads and create changelogs. We reset the limit for him every time. Our CTO Bryan Helmig's take: "Be generous. We're learning." One use case I didn't expect: a company started sending their own beta customers to our SDK to build automated session-triage pipelines. The workflows they wanted were too code-native for a drag-and-drop editor (so they pointed them to us) The SDK doesn't replace Zaps. It gives builders who think in code access to 9,000+ apps with one authentication. Try it here, free for all during Open Beta: https://lnkd.in/g-HsM9_i

We've run 13 private AI Leaders Labs. The question that comes up in every single one: "How do we get our people building safely?" I spoke at MIT last week about this same tension. AI adoption is outpacing the governance frameworks designed to manage it. It seems that every company is feeling this, asking these questions. So for the first time ever, we're opening the Leaders Lab to the public. Next Thurs, April 23rd. Join: - Brandon Sammut , Zapier's CPO & Chief AI Transformation Officer - Iain Roberts, Airbnb's CPO & Global Head of Employee Experience - Hannah Calhoon, Indeed's VP of AI Innovation - Ankur Bhatt, Rippling's VP of AI We’ll help you go from mandate to results, safely. 90 minutes, totally free. Reserve a seat here before it fills up: https://lnkd.in/gKcYahq7

The day we relaunched Searchable, our Slack channel broke. I fixed it in 10 minutes with this tool: That day could have been extremely chaotic.  We had 100s of inbound leads coming in and no system to handle them. Our sales team started to lose track of follow-ups quite quickly.  But we didn't panic. I hopped on Zapier, and in 10 minutes, their new Copilot had solved it. Here's exactly what I did (it's easier than you think): First, I jumped into Zapier and described what I wanted in plain English. There's no coding involved.  You just write a prompt like in Claude or ChatGPT. Then, Copilot broke down every part of it. It pulled from its database of 8,000+ apps and built the automation. Where it needed more detail, it asked, and I replied in the chat. (Which was so simple !) Now every inbound lead that hits our Slack channel gets: ↳ Automatically logged and categorised in Notion. ↳ Assigned to the right person on the sales team. ↳ Tracked so nothing ever falls through the cracks. What used to be a manual process that cost us leads is now completely hands-off. It genuinely requires very little technical knowledge or time. Zapier has now processed over 300 million AI tasks across the platform. The scale of what you can automate with this is genuinely hard to overstate. If you're still managing repetitive ops processes manually in 2026... This is worth 10 minutes of your time. Here’s the link to try the automation for free: https://bit.ly/4tPpnGd And save this post so you can refresh your memory any time ! Zapier #ad #ZapierPartner #sponsored
