🚗 Car shopping might be starting to look a lot more like everyday online shopping. A recent PEOPLE Magazine | PEOPLE.com article took a closer look at Amazon Autos and how customers can browse vehicles online, compare options, explore financing, and schedule pickup with a participating dealership. The story also highlighted something many drivers know well: the journey doesn’t end when you pick up the car. From practical upgrades to fun finds, People even rounded up car accessories under $50 on Amazon that can make everyday driving a little easier. Moments like this show how the experience of car buying — and car ownership — is evolving. At Amazon Autos, the focus remains on helping customers shop with confidence while supporting dealers who deliver the vehicle and service experience. 🌟 Read the full story in People in the link in comments. ⬇️ #AmazonAutos #DigitalRetail #CustomerObsessed

📣 Brian Benstock shares how his experience at Amazon Autos has been about delivering a world-class customer experience. We're customer-obsessed at Amazon. At the Amazon Auto Panel, we discussed something our industry has debated for years… What happens when negotiation is no longer the center of the transaction? In the pilot we’re running at Paragon, negotiation is largely removed before the customer ever arrives. The price is established. The payment is established. So when the customer shows up, we’re not spending our time going over numbers. We’re spending our time on what the dealership was always supposed to be great at: Making sure the vehicle is right. Delivering a proper hand-over. Explaining the technology. Setting the service relationship up correctly. The transaction is handled almost entirely online. The pricing is clear. The payment is structured. The financial terms are secured before the customer arrives. When the customer arrives at the dealership, the vehicle is in world-class condition awaiting its new owner. The focus can shift to making sure the car fits customer expectations and making sure the customer is fully aware of how to operate their new vehicle. There’s an assumption in our business that if negotiation disappears, margin disappears. That hasn’t been our experience. This doesn’t require being the low-cost producer; it requires delivering a world-class experience. Amazon is loved because the experience is predictable and the service first rate. That’s the lesson. If the customer feels confident, the transaction moves. If the customer feels friction, everything slows down. And once you operate in a model like this, you start questioning every piece of friction you’ve defended for years. That’s what this pilot has done for us. It didn’t just change a process. It changed the mindset.

What made Brian Benstock, GM and VP of Paragon Honda and Acura, partner with Amazon Autos? Watch the discussion hosted by Car Dealership Guy where Brian and Amazon's Barry Quinn discuss how the model works for dealers and how it supports the modern car-buying journey. https://lnkd.in/ekREQDvP It’s about blending digital convenience with the trusted dealership experience customers already rely on. 🤝 #AmazonAutos #DigitalRetailing
When the world’s largest retailer steps into automotive, dealers start asking hard questions. I asked Brian Benstock and Barry Quinn if Amazon Autos was here to help–or replace–car dealers. Their answer: dealers are here to stay and are central in their strategy to make car buying more convenient. Of note: they stated that they don't cannibalize the dealers profit, but profit off advertising instead. Really fascinating model.

🚗 Big news in retail — the The Wall Street Journal recently covered Amazon surpassing $716.9B in revenue globally. For those of us building Amazon Autos, it's a reminder of what's possible when you relentlessly focus on the customer. And speaking of customers — the WSJ piece included a testimonial from a recent customer who purchased a Hyundai Elantra N at Amazon Autos: "I was done in 30 minutes, top to bottom. When was the last time you bought a car in less than an hour?" — Kevin Mathew, 37, Houston, TX That's why we do this work. Not just to help dealers grow their business — but to transform one of the most significant purchases in a person's life into something delightful. The future of car buying is here. And it's just getting started. 🚀 #AmazonAutos #Innovation #CustomerObsessed

🤔 Wondering how dealers partner with Amazon Autos to grow their business and delight customers? Have a listen to our friend Kyle Mountsier at More Than Cars as he asked Amazon's Fan Jin and Carlock Automotive's TJ Joyce the top questions about the Amazon Autos marketplace.
Amazon stepping into automotive wasn’t supposed to feel this collaborative. At NADA 2026, Fan Jin and TJ Joyce pull back the curtain on what Amazon Autos actually is — and more importantly, what it isn’t. In an industry conditioned to fear disintermediation, Amazon’s model challenges the assumption that big tech wants to cut dealers out. Instead, they’re betting on something else: density, transparency, and advertising. Not transaction cuts. And they’re building it with dealers at the table. But the real story isn’t corporate strategy, it’s the customer moment. TJ shares the experience that changed everything: a buyer repeatedly asking, “Is this really it?” stunned by how simple the transaction felt. That disbelief might signal something deeper happening in automotive retail. The friction customers once expected is becoming optional. And for progressive dealers, the opportunity may be less about survival and more about alignment with how the next generation already shops.

🏆 We're so excited to share that in our NADA Debut, the Amazon Autos Oasis won the Best Booth Award for Design, Creativity & Branding! The space was inspired by the Amazon Spheres at our Seattle headquarters, with a nod to the energy of Las Vegas — bringing an organic, plant-filled oasis to the chaos of the show floor. 🎰🌿 With natural materials, an abundance of greenery, and a totally unique design in signature Amazon orange, the Oasis was designed as a relaxing space for dealers and partners to slow down, recharge, and have real conversations with our team. 🧡 🙏🏼 We're grateful to everyone who stopped by and helped bring the space to life. A huge thanks to Nanook and the other teams and partners who made it happen! And to National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) for the recognition! #NADA2026 #AmazonAutos
