Get the Inside Scoop on Visual Studio Subscriptions, Straight to Your InboxÂ
A few weeks ago I was talking with a Visual Studio Enterprise subscriber. Seasoned .NET developer. Ships production code. Knows his stack inside and out.Â
During the conversation I mentioned one of the training benefits included in his subscription.Â
He stopped me.Â
“I didn’t even know that was included.”Â
That is exactly why we created the Visual Studio Subscriptions monthly email newsletter.Â
Why We Launched ItÂ
Visual Studio Professional and Enterprise subscriptions include far more than just the IDE. For example:Â
- Professional or Enterprise IDE downloadsÂ
- Monthly Azure creditsÂ
- Azure Dev/Test pricingÂ
- Training platforms like Pluralsight and Cloud AcademyÂ
- Discounts on Visual Studio Live! eventsÂ
- Additional partner offersÂ
That is real value. But most developers are focused on building, shipping, and supporting applications. You’re not signing in to my.visualstudio.com every week to see what changed. And you shouldn’t have to.Â
The Visual Studio newsletter delivers the signal directly to you, once a month, in a format that is concise, relevant, and actionable.Â
What You’ll GetÂ
This is not a generic marketing email. It’s built specifically for Visual Studio subscribers.Â
Each edition includes exclusive resources you will not find anywhere else, including:Â
- Hot off the press updatesÂ
- Insider tips to level up your codeÂ
- Carefully curated on-demand contentÂ
- Clear explanations of subscriber benefitsÂ
- Coupon codesÂ
- Event announcementsÂ
- Practical insights from the Visual Studio teamÂ
If you have ever wondered whether you’re fully using your subscription, this newsletter makes it easy to know.Â
Why It MattersÂ
Technology moves fast. AI is changing development workflows. .NET continues to evolve. Azure adds capabilities every month.Â
Staying current does not mean reading everything. It means reading the right things.Â
The newsletter helps you:Â
- Discover new and updated subscriber benefitsÂ
- Activate learning resources you may not know aboutÂ
- Take advantage of exclusive discountsÂ
- Stay ahead on tools like GitHub Copilot, Azure, and .NETÂ
Small, consistent updates compound over time.Â
Want In?Â
If you’re a Visual Studio subscriber and want the inside track on updates, benefits, and exclusive resources, opt in here:Â
When you reach the preferences page, make sure these two boxes are checked:Â

According to that link, I am already opted in. I have been opted in for over a year. And yet I have not received a single copy of this newsletter.
I have even tried opting out and then opting in again; it made no difference.
Is this some sort of US-only thing? Is the newsletter not available to other countries? And if so, why doesn’t the “opt in” page mention that?
Visual Studio Professional and Enterprise subscriptions include Monthly Azure credits.
Unless you are paying your subscription monthly, then you won’t get any Monthly Azure credits at all.
