  • Proud to see KONGSBERG unveil a sovereign satellite communications offering powered by Meridian’s LEO architecture. Following a recently signed agreement, KONGSBERG has selected Meridian as a core element of a government-controlled LEO solution - pairing KONGSBERG’s full-stack defense capabilities with Meridian’s breakthrough payload and constellation design. This reflects a broader shift toward sovereign-ready space infrastructure - enabling governments to deploy, control, and scale communications capabilities on their own terms.

KONGSBERG unveils sovereign satellite communications offering powered by Meridian The companies have signed an agreement to deliver government‑controlled low‑earth orbit (LEO) broadband constellations, pairing KONGSBERG’s end‑to‑end satellite infrastructure expertise - including spacecraft platforms and subsystems, secure ground stations and gateways, mission operations, systems integration, accreditation for classified programs, and assured launch access options with SpinLaunch’s highly differentiated Meridian architecture. “In a world that is both contested and constantly connected, resilient sovereign communications are essential to national security and civil preparedness," said Camilla Kiss, President of Kongsberg Discovery. By combining KONGSBERG’s full-stack space and ground capabilities with Meridian’s breakthrough communications payload and constellation design, the companies are delivering a sovereign-ready, end-to-end solution for government users. 🔗 Click here for the full press release: https://brnw.ch/21x144G Photo credit: SpinLaunch #Space #Constellation #SatelliteInfrastructure

  • Today we're introducing Meridian Defense, a purpose-built LEO constellation designed for national security and sovereign operators, built on our Meridian architecture. With inter-satellite links (ISL), it delivers low-latency, resilient connectivity with an open, flexible design that supports interoperability while maintaining operational independence. The goal is simple: provide high-performance, cost-effective satcom that can be trusted in mission-critical environments.  Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gdCh4-9R

We will be attending SATShow Week 2026 in Washington, DC in just a couple of weeks.   Our team will be on the ground throughout the week meeting with partners, customers, and industry leaders as the sector continues its transition toward next-generation LEO architectures.   We’re looking forward to productive conversations on scalable infrastructure, sovereignty, and operator-led space systems. Please reach out to sales@spinlaunch.com if you'll be in DC for the show and would like to connect. CC: Massimiliano Ladovaz, Jan Helbing, Chris McLaughlin, Travis Sheehan, Olivier B., Walter Berger

  • Excited to share that SpinLaunch Meridian and CanarySat have signed a strategic Interoperability Agreement at MWC Barcelona.   The agreement establishes a framework for technical and commercial cooperation between our independent LEO constellations - enabling coordinated capacity management, expanded geographic coverage, and federated operational models, while preserving each system's operational sovereignty and technological independence.   Meridian's collaboration across the LEO constellation landscape is a critical step toward more resilient and flexible space architectures. Federated LEO models unlock greater coverage and commercial agility for customers, and this is an important step in building a diverse, global partner ecosystem.   Read the PR here: https://lnkd.in/eMRk3DyF

  • SpinLaunch will be attending Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona next week.   We look forward to engaging with partners, operators, and innovators to discuss how next-generation LEO infrastructure can expand capacity, improve economics, and enable new models of sovereign and commercial connectivity.   If you’re exploring NTN integration, sovereign infrastructure strategies, or capital-efficient LEO, now is the time to connect.

  • SpinLaunch has been named one of Via Satellite's 10 Hottest Companies in Satellite for 2026 - and recognition like this confirms what our partners and customers already know: the fundamentals of LEO are about to change.   The LEO market doesn't need another constellation that looks like the last one. It needs a model that makes sovereign broadband real for nations that have been priced out, and gives regional operators the tools to actually compete. That's what our Meridian Constellation is built to do with a fundamentally different architecture: simpler, more scalable, and priced for control & accessibility.   With antenna and payload testing milestones complete, strategic partnerships in place, customers aligned, and first flight on the horizon, the signal is getting stronger. We're proud of what the team has built and even more excited about where we're headed! Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gaCKahJS

  • Another week, another major antenna validation milestone. With thermal and environmental qualification of Meridian's reconfigurable reflectarray now complete, we've demonstrated consistent antenna performance across mission-level environmental stresses. Within the coming weeks, we expect to complete payload-level validation, moving the integrated payload to TRL-8 (Technology Readiness Level). This positions us to deliver a flight-ready configuration for integration into the First Customer Link (FCL) satellite scheduled for October 2026. The antenna has been the program's critical path. Repeated validation across mechanical, thermal, and electrical domains is rapidly retiring the primary technical risks of an architecture designed to support lower-power payloads, reduced system CAPEX, and more interoperable satellite designs.

  • Today, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Walter Berger to the SpinLaunch Advisory Board.   Walter brings more than 40 years of global leadership across satellite communications, advanced networking, and enterprise technology platforms, with a strong track record of guiding emerging technologies from product validation through scaled market adoption.   As President and Co-CEO of Kymeta, he led the commercialization of the first successful metamaterial flat-panel satellite antenna, with adoption across defense, government, enterprise, and maritime customers. His career also includes senior leadership roles at AppDynamics (Cisco), SoftLayer (IBM), and Leap Wireless / Cricket (AT&T).   Walter’s experience will help guide strategic initiatives and long-term growth as we enter the next phase of execution.

  • This weekend, SpinLaunch CEO Massimiliano Ladovaz and VP of Sales & Marketing Jan Helbing had the privilege of connecting with Jared Isaacman, Administrator of NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration during a Southern California aerospace executive reception. We appreciated the chance to exchange perspectives on NASA’s evolving priorities and the growing role of next-generation LEO communications infrastructure in enabling science, exploration, and national capability. As Meridian Space advances toward first deployment, engaging with NASA and the broader civil space ecosystem is critical to ensuring LEO communications architectures are shaped in coordination with mission operators, commercial partners, and other stakeholders who rely on resilient, scalable connectivity.

  • We’re excited to welcome Chris McLaughlin to SpinLaunch as our new Chief of Staff & Government Affairs.   Chris brings decades of leadership across the global space and satellite industry, with an exceptional track record spanning Inmarsat, OneWeb, Airbus, Avanti, and the UK Government. From guiding Inmarsat through its IPO and creating the Global Xpress brand, to securing UK government investment to refinance and deliver OneWeb, to launching the world’s first operational HAPS base with Airbus AALTO, Chris has consistently operated at the convergence of technology, policy, leadership, and international partnership.   His experience in sovereign engagement, large-scale programs, and global market access will be instrumental as Meridian moves from development into deployment and international expansion. We’re thrilled to have Chris join the team as we build the next generation of sovereign-ready, high-performance LEO connectivity.
