Today at the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, Anthropic signed on to the New Delhi Frontier AI Impact Commitments, alongside fellow AI labs. The first commitment is to advance transparency into real-world AI usage. We’re pledging to publish longitudinal measures which shed light on the future of work and human-AI collaboration, and which support the development of evidence-based policymaking. The second is to strengthen multilingual evaluations, helping to ensure AI works for people across languages and cultural contexts.

This week we opened our Bengaluru office—Anthropic's second in Asia-Pacific—and announced new partnerships with organizations working in education, law, digital public infrastructure, and more. Some of our partnerships include Pratham Education Foundation which uses Claude to grade handwritten exams and deliver feedback in Hindi and English, at scale; Adalat AI, which launched India's first national WhatsApp helpline for court case information; and Rocket, which can generate complete websites from plain language prompts. We’re officially opening our Bengaluru office—our new home base in India and Anthropic’s second office in Asia-Pacific. India is our second-largest market for Claude.ai. We’ve spent the past six months improving Claude’s performance on 10 of the most widely spoken Indic languages. We’re also deepening our long-term commitment to India with a series of partnerships, including with Pratham Education Foundation, EkStep Foundation, and Central Square Foundation—focused on bringing Claude to education, agriculture, and digital public infrastructure. Anthropic is partnering with CodePath, the US's largest collegiate computer science program, to bring Claude and Claude Code to 20,000+ students at community colleges, state schools, and HBCUs. Over 40% of CodePath students come from families earning under $50,000 a year. CodePath has spent years building pathways for students into the tech industry—now they’ll have access to tools that are reshaping the field of software development.
