Meet Monika, a Software Engineer (SWE) based in our Sunnyvale office. "I’ve dreamt of working at Google ever since college," she says. “While I didn't land a role here right out of school, I was persistent. I kept applying and eventually had the opportunity to join the company in Munich in 2022." Now, Monika works on Google Cloud's Network Infrastructure team, ensuring the network runs efficiently. For Monika, Google's culture of collaboration and continuous learning has been especially rewarding. "Google is vast, and you learn something new every day," she explains. "People with different skills are always coming together to solve complex problems, whether it's through whiteboarding sessions or pair programming.” Through it all, Monika has one main reflection: "Consistent hard work and persistence matter. If you keep going and don't give up on your goals, you will absolutely reach them one day!” Interested in a career like Monika’s? Explore our open roles → https://goo.gle/3LY3x2Y

Today, we updated Gemini 3 Deep Think to further accelerate modern science, research and engineering. We’ve been partnering with scientists and researchers to help tackle the "unsolvable " — from spotting flaws in research papers with Rutgers to optimizing semiconductor growth with Duke University. Gemini 3 Deep Think, by the numbers: 📚 48.4% on Humanity’s Last Exam (expert reasoning) 🧩 84.6% on ARC-AGI-2 (abstract logic) 💻 3455 Elo score on Codeforces (competitive programming) Watch to see how Rutgers mathematician Lisa Carbone used Deep Think to find a logical flaw in a mathematics paper that expert peer reviewers missed. Gemini 3 Deep Think is available now in the Gemini app for Google AI Ultra subscribers and via the Gemini API to select researchers, engineers and enterprises through our early access program. In her third annual letter, VP/GM Ads & Commerce Vidhya Srinivasan shares what to expect in digital advertising and commerce in 2026, including how her teams are reinventing ads for the new era of Search and unlocking the future of agentic commerce.

2026 is an expansionary moment for businesses and consumers alike but it requires a new playbook. Today, in my 3rd annual letter, I talk about what to expect for advertising and commerce in 2026 - how we’re making commercial experiences fluid, assistive and personal: 🛒 We’re removing the gruntwork of shopping and are working hand in hand with the industry on the building blocks needed to make agentic commerce seamless and secure. 🔍 We are reinventing ads for the new era of Search. Ads that inspire and answer, all at once. 📺 On YouTube, we are using AI to build stronger connections between brands and creators – turning influence into impact. ✨ We are powering ad tools with Gemini to drive growth, creativity, and ultimately real business impact. Foundational to delivering this agentic, AI-first era are the same principles that have defined us for 25 years: privacy and safety – to ensure the fast lane remains the safe lane. So great to kick off #SuperBowlLX weekend at the first-ever Super Bowl Innovation Summit, where hundreds of people came together for a day of discussions focused on the future of sports, media, and technology. I got to sit down with Ben Gilbert and David Rosenthal from the Acquired podcast to dive deep into the future of video, creators, and global culture. Here are some insights from our conversation: 🌟 Creators are redefining TV for the next generation. They’re opening studios right next to traditional Hollywood lots, and producing incredibly high-quality content that rivals traditional production. For Gen Z, there’s no distinction between a live National Football League (NFL) game and their favorite creator breaking down the highlights. They want it all in one place, and they want it on the biggest screen in the house. 🤝 We’re bringing the best of YouTube to live sports. Last year we streamed our first-ever exclusive, global broadcast of a NFL game, and made it completely free and accessible to fans all over the world. We reimagined the viewing experience by integrating the creators fans love (like Deestroying, Kay Adams and Jimmy Donaldson) directly into the broadcast. Underpinning it all was a massive technical feat: we shipped 100,000 pounds of equipment to Brazil and managed a complex fiber network to ensure latency was only seconds from the field to your screen. 🚀 We're excited about the potential for AI to empower human creativity and enhance the viewer experience on YouTube. For creators, we're building tools and capabilities to make their jobs easier. And for viewers, features like Ask enable them to dive deeper into the content they love. Thank you to Zaileen Janmohamed, Bay Area Host Committee, and Roger Goodell and the San Francisco 49ers for bringing us all together, and Tanner Colson for the coffee! ☕ Excited for the YouTube x NFL flag football showdown tomorrow, of course the Super Bowl at Levi's® Stadium on Sunday, and so many events in between.

Meet Wojtek, an Account Executive on the Google Customer Solutions Mid-Market Sales (MMS) team in Dublin. He spends his days helping businesses scale by working to “identify high-level growth opportunities” and “pitch digital strategies that align with my clients' overall business and marketing goals.” While the technical side of the job is important, Wojtek finds that the human element is crucial for success. "A non-negotiable skill for my role is the ability to fluidly adapt your communication style to fit a wide range of personalities,” he explains, noting that he needs to remain “genuinely open to connecting with clients and new people." That sense of connection extends to the Dublin office itself, which Wojtek describes as a "vibrant pot of cultures” with “Googlers from every corner of Europe.” The community “makes it incredibly easy to learn from different perspectives and build meaningful friendships.” See where a career at Google could take you → https://goo.gle/3LNS1ad

Last month, we moved AI toward a new era of Personal Intelligence, making products like Search, Chrome and the Gemini app more proactive than ever. We also gave Gmail a major AI upgrade, partnered with leading education companies to bring SAT and JEE Main prep to the Gemini app, and made premium Google AI features available to more educators and students. And there's plenty more, too. Here’s a look back at some of our AI announcements from January.

Our Q4/FY’25 results are in. Thanks to our partners & employees, it was a tremendous quarter, exceeding $400B in annual revenue for the first time. Our full AI stack is fueling our progress, and Gemini 3 adoption has been faster than any other model in our history. Meanwhile, Gemini App has grown to 750M monthly active users, seeing significantly higher engagement per user, especially since the launch of Gemini 3 in December. Some other highlights: 👉 Search continued to accelerate with revenues growing 17% year-over-year. We saw more Search usage in Q4 than ever before, as AI continues to drive an expansionary moment. Gemini 3 is now integrated into AI Mode in Search and AI Overviews, and we’ve made the transition from an AI Overview to a conversation in AI Mode completely seamless. 👉 YouTube’s annual revenues surpassed $60B across ads and subscriptions. It continues to be #1 in streaming the US, according to Nielsen. Strong adoption of YouTube Premium, along with Google One, has driven more than 325M paid subscriptions across consumer services. 👉 Cloud revenues grew 48% in Q4, now on an annual run rate of $70B+. Backlog grew by 55% quarter over quarter to $240B, representing a wide breadth of customers and driven by demand for our AI products. That includes Gemini Enterprise, launched in October, which has sold more than 8M paid seats. 👉 And finally, Waymo raised its largest investment round to date this week. In December we surpassed 20M fully autonomous trips, with 400K+ rides provided every week, and its sixth market, Miami, launched two weeks ago, with plans to expand to multiple more cities. In closing, 2025 was a fantastic year for the company. We’re really well positioned going into 2026, and excited for what’s ahead! Read my full remarks: https://lnkd.in/gGYV4B_e
