Aspen Initiative Africa – Nairobi (AIA-N) is the first African affiliate of the Aspen Institute, drawing on a 75-year global legacy of values-based leadership, dialogue, and public service. From our base in Kenya, we convene Africa’s most dynamic thinkers, doers, and decision-makers to confront complex challenges, explore bold ideas, and co-create pathways toward a just, inclusive, and thriving future.
We are not implementers. We are convenors and consolidators: building bridges across sectors, surfacing wisdom from lived experience, and creating the conditions for deep, transformative exchange.
Through fellowships, seminars, salons, and public dialogues, we offer trusted spaces where leaders refresh, reflect, reconnect with their values, and reimagine what’s possible for Africa, and the world. Rooted in African realities and connected to a global network, AIA-N is where new narratives take root and systems-level change begins.

Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.
