Engineered for scale, designed for clarity, crafted to make FinOps easy.

About us

Finout is the enterprise-grade FinOps platform built for teams that need more than dashboards—they need action. From cloud to containers to SaaS and AI, Finout delivers business-aligned visibility and cost accountability without forcing engineers to tag everything or change how they ship code. At the core of our platform is the patented MegaBill engine with Instant Virtual Tags, enabling real-time, code-agnostic cost allocation across multi-cloud, Kubernetes, and third-party services. Whether you’re allocating Snowflake spend by feature, tracing GPU costs per AI model, or showing your CFO the cost-per-customer in Slack—we make it seamless. Finout empowers DevOps, FinOps, and platform teams to operationalize cloud cost data across the stack—embedding financial intelligence into CI/CD pipelines, tickets, reports, and forecasting workflows. Our unified approach helps organizations shift from reactive savings to proactive governance, bringing finance and engineering into strategic alignment. We’re not just showing what you spent—we’re showing why, where, and what to do about it.

Updates

  • Last week, we moved Finout's GTM headquarters to Playa del Carmen, Mexico... (For 3 days) This was our 2026 SKO. SKOs are a massive investment. We’re beyond confident in ours for one reason: it wasn’t built for us. It was built for our customers. The Customer-led SKO: We started with the 3rd annual Finout Advisory Board (FAB). Our customers flew in we didn't just present at them; we listened. If your roadmap (and GTM strategy!) isn't being stress-tested by the people using it, you’re just guessing. High-fidelity collaboration: You can't "whiteboard" the company vision over Zoom. There is a specific kind of magic that happens when Craig Bumpus (CRO), Roi Ravhon (CEO), and Asaf Liveanu (CPO) can speak to the team without a "you're on mute" interruption. The week also looked like: • morning yoga by the ocean. • team-building craziness! • happy hours with the sound of waves • an Awards Gala for the people who poured their heart into Finout The Karaoke Rule: And finally, the real reason we had to be in the same room: Karaoke. Because technically you could do karaoke on Zoom, but nobody really wants that. Building the future of FinOps is a long game. It’s a lot easier when you’re doing it with people you’ve actually laughed with! Hasta Luego Mexico #SKO #Saleskickoff #FinOps #hiring #GTM #LifeAtFinout #WorkHardPlayHard #Karaoke

  • 39 floors above San Francisco last night, a room full of FinOps practitioners got together to talk about something every cloud team is dealing with: commitments in real production environments. We hosted the latest FinOps Visionary Series with our friends nOps at The View Lounge. Our very own Steven Ruthfield moderated the conversation with leaders from Arlo, PayPal, and the FinOps Foundation sharing what’s working (and what isn’t). Great questions. Great conversations. San Francisco showed up.

    • Two speakers leading a discussion while sitting with microphones. In the background a massive architectural window with views of San Francisco.

    • Speakers from the event and organizers standing in a line and posting for a photo together while smiling
    • A cheese board and a room full of FinOps practitioners attentively listening to the speakers at the event.
    • Four panelists discuss and present to the room while sitting.

  • FinOps meetup alert for all the London practitioners! Make sure to RSVP if you're in town on Thursday, 19 March.

  • Cloud and AI spend rarely stay flat after an acquisition. Environments multiply. Ownership blurs. Costs move faster than expected. How early should FinOps get involved?  Which cost signals actually matter in diligence?  Where do the biggest surprises show up post close? Today at 12 PM EST | 9 AM PST, Peter Crenshaw, MBA from IEM and Zakary Brown from Finout are sharing practical lessons from the field on navigating cloud and AI spend across acquisitions. 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄, 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 (𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟰𝘁𝗵), we're partnering with nOps for a private FinOps & Cloud Visionary Reception at The View Lounge in San Francisco. 39 floors up, overlooking the skyline, we’re bringing together an group of FinOps, cloud, and engineering leaders for real conversations on autonomous commitment management. We'll hear a FinOps Community update from Bindu Sharma, a fireside chat with Paulo Araujo, FinOps lead at PayPal, and a live panel with FinOps leaders from Arlo, sharing real-world lessons on managing commitments effectively in complex cloud environments. An awesome chance to network with the community, enjoy skyline views and meaningful peer exchange. If you're in SF & have a few hours free tomorrow night, we'd love to have you there! • Cloud providers don’t shut old versions off. They just start charging you more. As of February 1, 2026, legacy Amazon ElastiCache versions moved to extended support. In some cases, that means thousands of dollars per day in additional charges. Several Amazon OpenSearch versions moved to extended support in November 2025 as well. These charges often hide in billing line items most teams don’t monitor closely. So we added two new CostGuard scans in Finout to automatically surface: ✔️ ElastiCache extended support fees ✔️ OpenSearch extended support fees They work just like our RDS and EKS scans - no setup required, fully based on billing data. If extended support is costing you, you’ll see it immediately. #CloudCostManagement #FinOps #AWS #Finout

  • You may have noticed our Linkedin cover photo looks a little different... Don't worry, the professional branding will be back soon, but for now, the entire Finout GTM team is in Mexico for SKO 2026. It's Sales Kick Off week for Finout and we're in the stunning Playa del Carmen... you know what was a little less stunning? The massive blizzard that cancelled our flights for 3 days. Nevertheless, you can't keep us from the beach. We'll have plenty more to share, but the update so far is that we've put a group of incredible talent in one room to strategize on the massive year we have upcoming. And it's magic. Welcome to Finout SKO 2026

Anthropic just lowered seat prices. And quietly moved enterprises to committed usage pricing. Most companies will celebrate the $20 seat. Very few will notice the iceberg underneath. This is what I call The Seat Price Illusion. Here’s what actually changed: - Seats dropped to $20 and $10 per user - API discounts were removed - Mandatory consumption commitments introduced - Fast Mode launched with a 6x pricing multiplier - Long-context and residency surcharges added - Tool-level billing expanded On the surface: cheaper. Underneath: performance-based monetization + use-it-or-lose-it commitments. This is not a price cut. It is a structural shift from seat-based SaaS to behavior-driven revenue. And most FinOps teams are still looking at the seat line item. The real exposure is in: - Premium latency adoption - Context window expansion - Retroactive repricing - Feature-level charges - Committed consumption floors AI pricing is becoming multi-dimensional. If governance does not evolve at the same pace, margin erosion becomes invisible until renewal time. I wrote a full breakdown of the changes and what FinOps leaders should monitor.
