Christmas is coming early this year… 🎄 I’m so excited to finally share that Astro is graduating as a fully trained service dog with his new handler this Saturday at America's VetDogs!! Great news: you can watch the ceremony from home! The event will be live streamed on the America’s VetDogs Facebook page. Link to that can be found here: https://lnkd.in/eF8AsPcQ The ceremony will start between 1 and 1:30pm and last approximately 1 hour. I want to extend a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to everyone who has been a part of Astro’s journey. I had my first phone call with Astro’s handler last night, and it was incredibly moving. Even before graduation, Astro has become a source of calm, grounding, and renewed confidence for his handler, and he struggled to find the words to thank the Booz Allen Hamilton community enough for making this possible. Your support, compassion, and belief in the Puppy with a Purpose program didn’t just help train a service dog - it literally helped change a life. Thank you for the role you played in bringing Astro and his handler together and for the impact that will continue long after their graduation. 🎓
