Marketers, Don’t just like posts sharing a diagram explaining agents or MCP. Do this instead. 👇Future of our profession depends on it. Setup the community addition of n8n. It’s free, you just need a host. I run mine on Railway. It costs $5 a month. However you can also just install Docker, Inc on your laptop and run it locally. There are a million tutorials on how to do this. Just google it. Then go download some starter templates from n8n’s site. Walk through the tutorials on how to setup your credentials for the various nodes. Play around with it. It requires setting up stuff like oauth2 for a Google app. Sound intimidating? It’s not. Seriously it’s not. Just takes a minute. Subscribe to Nate Herkelman or Stephen G. Pope or any of the other creators on YouTube and follow along with a few videos. Actually BUILD an agent. Even if it’s for something dumb and useless. With the community edition of n8n, you can install an unofficial, but well supported, MCP server node. Play with that too. Plenty of tutorials, templates, etc. Within a few evenings you will actually KNOW what these words everyone is throwing around actually mean. You’ll know WHY the engineers in your org like one model over another. Your brain will light up with ideas on WHAT you can do. Most importantly, you know WHO can do it for you: yourself.
