Το καλοκαίρι βρίσκεται στην κορύφωσή του και παρόλο που για πολλούς οι καλοκαιρινές διακοπές είναι συνδεδεμένες με ώρες χαλάρωσης κάτω από τον καυτό μεσημεριανό ήλιο σε κάποια παραλία, για άλλους όπως οι καρδιοπαθείς κάτι τέτοιο μπορεί να έχει καταστρεπτικές συνέπειες στην υγεία τους.
Και λέγοντας καρδιοπαθείς δεν αναφερόμαστε μόνο σε εκείνους με καρδιακή ανεπάρκεια ή στεφανιαία νόσο αλλά και σε εκείνους που πάσχουν από αρτηριακή υπέρταση, δυσλιπιδαιμία ή κάποια καρδιακή αρρυθμία.
Πως όμως οι καιρικές συνθήκες του καλοκαιριού επηρεάζουν την καρδιακή λειτουργία;

The WHO has called for global action to halt the rise in, and improve care for, people suffering with diabetes on World Health Day 2016.
A global report on diabetes shows that 422 million adults now live with diabetes, mainly in developing countries, with the number of people living with diabetes having quadrupled since 1980. Factors driving this dramatic rise include obesity, the WHO announced ahead of the day. Continue reading →
