With the latest pulse on how customers rate companies in six key brand benchmarks (product/service quality, ROI, customer service, overall satisfaction, loyalty, NPS), the proprietary dataset is then ranked annually in multiple categories throughout the year.

There is no application process or fee. Best Brands is based solely on consumer feedback of large brands on Comparably.com within the previous 12 months. Consumers are asked to rate brands in a variety of areas such as quality of the product/service, customer service, ROI, overall satisfaction with the company, loyalty, and how likely they are to recommend the brand to a friend. Comparably launched in 2016 with a mission to provide the most transparent and comprehensive look at what it’s like to work at companies from compensation to culture, all based on those who know best – employees. Since 2017, our annual Best Places to Work Awards have recognized the top-rated CEOs and workplaces in 16 different categories throughout the year, determined by millions of ratings across tens of thousands of organizations.
In 2020, we expanded our platform to collect customer ratings on companies. While our annual Best Places to Work Awards are based on millions of employee ratings, Best Brands are determined by how consumers rate the world’s biggest companies. With our new consumer ratings, Comparably is now a trusted and comprehensive resource for both Company Cultures and Corporate Brand Reputations.
There is no application process or fee. Best Brands is based solely on consumer feedback of companies on Comparably.com. Employee ratings on company culture are not included.
Customers rate brands by going to the company pages on Comparably.com and answering questions in key areas. For more details, refer to Methodology section.
Best Brands will be published on an annual basis, with segmented lists every quarter, including Best Brands according to Gen Z and Millennials (Q4 2021), Best Brands According to Women and BIPOC (Q1 2022), and Best Brands by Industry (Q2 2022).

Comparably Best Brand Awards and rankings are determined by a variety of online signals, including a proprietary dataset of customer and consumer feedback on Comparably.com. The relevance of this feedback is then weighted for statistical significance, determined in part by the number of customer responses. For category-specific lists, only feedback provided by that demographic (i.e. Gen Z, Millennials, Women, or BIPOC) are considered.
All our lists are based on a 12-month look-back period prior to publish date. For our inaugural Best Brands list launched on August 18, 2021, we took into consideration consumer ratings provided from August 1, 2020 through August 1, 2021.
Thousands of the biggest consumer and most recognizable B2B brands in the world are available on Comparably.com to be rated.
