Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.
History is littered with hundreds of conflicts over the future of a community, group, location or business that were "resolved" when one of the parties stepped ahead and destroyed what was there. With the original point of contention destroyed, the debates would fall to the wayside. Archive Team believes that by duplicated condemned data, the conversation and debate can continue, as well as the richness and insight gained by keeping the materials. Our projects have ranged in size from a single volunteer downloading the data to a small-but-critical site, to over 100 volunteers stepping forward to acquire terabytes of user-created data to save for future generations.
The main site for Archive Team is at archiveteam.org and contains up to the date information on various projects, manifestos, plans and walkthroughs.
This collection contains the output of many Archive Team projects, both ongoing and completed. Thanks to the generous providing of disk space by the Internet Archive, multi-terabyte datasets can be made available, as well as in use by the Wayback Machine, providing a path back to lost websites and work.
Our collection has grown to the point of having sub-collections for the type of data we acquire. If you are seeking to browse the contents of these collections, the Wayback Machine is the best first stop. Otherwise, you are free to dig into the stacks to see what you may find.
The Archive Team Panic Downloads are full pulldowns of currently extant websites, meant to serve as emergency backups for needed sites that are in danger of closing, or which will be missed dearly if suddenly lost due to hard drive crashes or server failures.

The development of new information and communication technologies (NICTs), especially the Internet, is visible in the twenty-first century, because the dynamicity and the speed of this media, as well the transposition of temporal and spatial barriers, allows the promotion of discussions about the possibilities of more effective participation of the population in the construction of the contemporary democracy. The blogosphere emerges as an alternative place to the realization of the debate about democracy, because it enables instant publishing network, allowing internet users the choice the content to be published and the approach taken. The present article discusses if the spaces provided by conversational blogs are being used for the purpose of assisting in the construction of cyberdemocracy in Brazil. The research was based in the bibliography and documental methods, and also in the systematic and non-participative analysis in blogs, as well in the ranking of the 20 most visited blogs in Brazil, in 2011. The conclusion, based in the ranking, is that while there is a range of spaces online available to the internet users, people don’t use the blogosphere for purposes to discuss issues relating to the exercise of democracy in Brazil, limited to addressing issues of leisure, fashion and entertainment.

The informational Society generated new informational fundamental rights and, therefore, requires new ways of protection. The right to information is one of the new rights given, at least in Brazil, although it expressly enshrine in the Constitution of 1988, only in 2011 promulgated the Law on Access to Information, with the objective of increasing the transparency of public administration. This way for increased government transparency is a trend expanded on the concept of e-government, which will modernize services, provides greater interaction and democratization in the relationship between citizen and government.
Despite being very old, cosmopolitan ideal still finds room when it comes to the pursuit of internationalization of rights. The need for openness to different, more than ever, has become a reality before the great interpenetration borders and cultures, which can be seen mainly in the context of the information society. For this reason, the protection of fundamental human rights requires a global consensus, which also require strengthened internal states. For this, a full democracy, which is supported by the right to information of citizens, is required. Through the method of deductive approach and the techniques of documentary and bibliographic research, this work aims cosmopolitanism relate to current global needs. We conclude that the cosmopolitan ideal, yet contrary to current “thirst” for information immediacy, because he was born thousands of years ago, is an interesting alternative for resolving issues related to all mankind.
abordagem dedutivo e do método de procedimento monográfico (estudo de caso) objetiva verificar quais os limites para o exercício da propaganda eleitoral na Internet. Para tanto, foram analisados julgados do Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) e a legislação atinente ao tema. Conclui-se que são necessários limites isonômicos fixados em lei para que a atuação dos políticos ou de seus apoiadores não ocorra de forma abusiva, respeitando-se as diretrizes fixadas na Constituição Federal de 1988.
The Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), particularly the Internet, have caused various changes and possibilities of communication, including targeted to strengthening citizenship. It is, for example, the use of social networks in Internet for information exchange, adoption of electronic voting and conducting online political advertising. This paper, using the deductive method of approach and monographic method of procedure (case study) aims to check if there are limits to the exercise of electoral advertising on the Internet. Were analyzed judgments of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) and the relevant legislation to the topic. The conclusion is that is necessary to fix isonomic by law to the actions of politicians or their supporters not occur improperly, respecting the guidelines established in the Federal Constitution of 1988.
The right of access to government information is a fundamental right guaranteed by the Constitution of 1988 and has been expanded due to the advent of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). In Brazil, the enactment of the Access to Information Act (12.527/2011) has favored transparency of government actions, also allowing citizens to require information from state bodies. This paper, using the deductive method of approach and the monographic method of procedure, objective to analyze the Portal of the National Council of Justice, to check the fulfillment of the requirements contained in Article 8 of Law n.º12.527/11. For this, it was realized a direct, systematic and non-participatory analysis in that portal, which was divided into six categories. The conclusion is that the Portal of the National Council of Justice fulfills the requirements analyzed, strengthening the institution of an electronic government in Brazil.
