$10M per km ... that doesn't seem too bad. Typical highway costs are $3-12 million per lane-mile (a lot depends upon rural / urban) and this is four lanes per km ->

    * ... of Foreign Trade and Information Technology ;) Much appreciated, Simon! Not sure they're looking for an outsider, though. No signals, weak or strong, to indicate that.

X : You're saying I'm not smart? Me : No. This is odds. Last time I looked I think the figure was about 90% i.e. 90% are in their position not because of ability but because of privilege. You might be in the 10% ... alas everyone in that position thinks they're in the10%

X : I object. I went to private school and I've achieved what I have through hard work. Me : hard work and intelligence. X : I'm reasonably smart. Me : You are justifying your position with an assumption that you got there because of ability. Odds are you're deluding yourself.

... but that is only going to happen in a collective that sees the market (a system of exclusion) as a tool of society rather than a purpose. Hence China will solve the issues of poverty (happening), inequality (starting 2021) and creating a vibrant economy long before the West.

Oh and the reason why poor people often make short term decisions on wealth is because of poverty. It's a vicious cycle - - which is why if you want an effective system, if you want long term financial choices then you need to remove poverty itself ...

As a rule, if you went to a private school then your position in life and your wealth has nothing to do with any ability you might think you have. The odds are, you have none. Had you been born into poverty, the chances are that you would be in poverty. You'd still be you.

"I am poor NOT stupid!" ... the delusion of those born into privilege is to justify their status as some sort of talent or ability over others rather than an accident of birth ->

... hence, it's a really good idea to avoid infection - masks, distancing, cleaning hands and surfaces etc. X : What about oxygen deprivation? Me : What?!? From masks? X : Yes Me : Trust me, if it what a "thing" and you lost "brain cells" from it, no-one would notice.

X : Scant? Me : Yes. We don't know the long term impacts yet, that requires much more investigation. However, we don't know much of the basics yet i.e. immunity. It's simply a question of priorities, of focused effort.

Miracle of evolving components being used as a commodity with ease due to standardization across continents & centuries. Bodes well for humanism as we continue to work within an ethic of care - making cakes for each other is sweet :) cc: & &

"Recovered" was such a poor choice of words. Though it's a minor issue compared to death and many of the long term consequences, for the males out there, you don't want to look into erectile dysfunction. The scant evidence suggests a likely consequence ->

Oh ... and to be clear, a group of people declaring that we need to do "eugenics" would also be on my watchlist as a threat to public health and national security.

Me : even if it was based upon good science (which it isn't) then science doesn't occupy a vacuum devoid of society as there are ethical considerations. This is why we don't do eugenics. This "Herd immunity fantasy" is basically eugenics in disguise.

X : Isn't it simply a different scientific viewpoint? Me : It's not science, why do you think the scientific community is up in arms over it. This "herd immunity fantasy" is a mutilation of some basic concepts to promote a particular economic view and concepts of individualism.
