As a mobile developer (native), can you build for the other platform on your development machine?

I think this was a feature, not a bug - streams are only scheduled until midnight. Neighbor-friendly yet surprisingly early for Berliners.

I was only surprised the stream stopped at midnight. 😅

One more thing for the actual meeting: We announced to open the room 15 minutes ahead of meeting start, so some casual conversation before start was possible also more time in case tech support was required. Tool-savvy people could just join on time.

We received pretty good feedback there, and maybe even more indirectly during the meeting when people casually said, hey, there is this other thing we could do with a video conference.

I was pretty exhausted at the end (2,5h) but I am exhausted after physical meetings of that sort too. Still, we facilitators offered to leave the room open a bit longer for some informal conversations afterwards.

Next day, real meeting: Just real content and real problems to discuss. I was still available for tech support but besides sending out the correct link again, there was no need. Only person ever speaking to a muted mic was me. 🤦‍♀️

We invited everyone with little experience to a playground session on a separate day and gave a 2h window for that - join whenever you have time to try this. I offered tech support, available by phone and mail too while my peer facilitator casually chatted with everyone joining.

How we made this work: It happened, we were two facilitators - a very enthusiastic newly video conference users and me for whom this is just a regular thing. As a newly knowingly competent person, he was way better to anticipate what people don’t know.

Don’t assume. Don’t blame for lack of knowledge. We digitally working folks are very privileged these days, reach out and offer support to other communities.

Achievement of the week: Brought together 25 non-techie people in a video conference that just worked. The group had important topics to discuss. They had postponed this meeting until now and were about to postpone further. They were surprisingly inspired.

We all agree that March was six years long and April has lasted six minutes, right? Can we get some sort of explanation on that. Genuinely baffled by how elastic time is right now, but more by how we seem to be experiencing it in similar ways.
