    I just want to emphasize that Mayor Ted Wheeler was out here talking about how he was going to bravely hold the line when federal agents tear gassed the crowd, and then he left after a couple rounds of gas, and now HIS OWN POLICE FORCE is also threatening to gas the crowd?!

    Unmarked federal forces being deployed by a president to cities where he isn’t popular is not a “political stunt”, IT’S FASCISM. It’s the actions of a dictator. Even describing it as a “political stunt” is a dangerously watered down use of language. Folks have learned nothing.

    I want to live in a city where we spend our money housing homeless people instead of paying cops to terrorize them. And giving students more teachers and counselors and less cops in school. Defunding the police is easy to imagine when you think about what you’d buy instead.
