Upgrade Availability for Windows Phone 8.1 customers

Good news for Windows Phone 8.1 customers: you can enjoy great new features of Windows 10 Mobile without having to buy a new phone.

The availability of Windows 10 Mobile as an upgrade for existing Windows Phone 8.1 devices varies by device manufacturer, device model, country or region, mobile operator or service provider, hardware limitations and other factors. To check if your device is supported and other important information, visit your device manufacturer’s website. You can find manufacturer contact information on the Contact Information page. You can also get the Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor app available free in the Windows Store - to easily check for upgrade availability and prepare your phone to install the upgrade.

Phones and devices that can upgrade to Windows 10:

Requirements for upgrade to Windows 10 Mobile

To install the upgrade on a supported device, make sure you are running the Windows Phone 8.1 GDR1 QFE8 or later. A Wi-Fi internet connection is required to download and install the upgrade; Internet access fees may apply.
