Microsoft-tested SQL Server benchmarks
The new SQL Server 2014 In-Memory OLTP with the memory-optimized columnstore feature delivers breakthrough performance gains for both OLTP applications and data warehouse queries. SQL Server 2014 is the first mainstream RDBMS to integrate both in-memory OLTP and a memory optimized columnar data storage capability into the relational database engine.
To gauge the benefits of in-memory technologies, Microsoft engineers measured a collection of complex data warehousing queries running with and without columnstore indexes on a large data warehouse.
