Can AI actually make better farming decisions than traditional methods? In our recent study, we explored how predictive analytics can transform crop rotation and soil health management. Traditional approaches often rely on experience and static rules, but agriculture today is far more dynamic — influenced by climate variability, soil conditions, and market changes. We developed a hybrid ConvLSTM model that captures both short-term patterns and long-term dependencies in agricultural data. The results showed strong predictive performance, highlighting how AI can support more sustainable and data-driven farming practices. What I find most interesting is the shift from reactive farming to proactive decision-making using data.
