As every year, the organisers of the Aachen Hydrogen Colloquium have put together a highly engaging programme covering all aspects of hydrogen 🔋🌱. I can strongly recommend attending the full two days of plenary and technical sessions to anyone interested in the field. I’m also very pleased that we are once again contributing to this exciting programme in several ways: 🔹 "Gas Turbines Fired with Hydrogen: Impacts on Combustion, Turbomachinery and Plant Operation" presented by Johannes Mohs 🔹 "A Roadmap for Demonstrating H₂ Use in Industrial Gas Burners in Steel Production" presented by Fabian Krause 🔹 "Numerical Investigation of H₂ Addition in an Additively Manufactured Gas Burner in EAF Operation" presented by myself See you in May in beautiful Aachen! ☀️

Low cost with high performance The Ogi3 Bioreactor makes early-stage research faster, easier, and lower cost without compromising on quality With the ability to work at volumes as small as 15 mL, you can significantly reduce spend on media and reagents. And because smaller experiments are easier to run in parallel, you can test more conditions at once, while still maintaining controlled, reproducible results. The result? Faster optimisation and greater confidence when scaling up to larger volumes. Find out how Ogi3 could transform your research: https://ogibiotec.com/ #Bioreactors #TimeToDiscover #MicrobialCulturing #LabAutomation

Excited to share Jinghan Shi's video featuring her #PhD journey as part of SusAlgaeFuel Project, a project coordinated by UCD School of Biosystems & Food Engineering investigating the use of #microalgae for the valorisation of #digestate into #sustainableaviationfuel. Following the completion of her Master of Engineering Science at UCD School of Biosystems & Food Engineering, Jinghan progressed directly to the PhD programme in our group, exemplifying the School’s commitment to nurturing and retaining local talent. Looking forward to sharing more on the #breakthrough sciences arising from her work in #microalgae waste valorisation in the near future.
I’m excited to share a video featuring my Phd journey into microalgae 🌿research at University College Dublin, as part of the SusAlgaeFuel Project , with a focus on biofuel application✈️. My research focuses on cultivating microalgae in digestate from biogas production, optimizing pretreatment and nutrient conditions to enhance biomass yield for biofuel applications within the SusAlgaeFuel Project. I would like to sincerely thank my supervisor, Dr. Ronald Halim continuous guidance and support, as well as Dr. Kristine Jung and Sabine Alexandre-Klein from ESCI - European Science Communication Institute for producing this video. At the time of this interview, I had just started my PhD — and I’m very happy to share that I have now progressed to a PhD candidate😎 #Biofuels #Microalgae #SusAlgaeFuel #PhDResearch #UCD
