Meta Likely to Cease Oversight Board Funding After 2028 📌 Meta may end funding for its Oversight Board after 2028, shifting from human reviews to AI-driven moderation. This marks a major retreat from independent oversight, as Meta aims to centralize control and scale enforcement across billions of users. Critics warn this move could weaken accountability, especially in volatile political or repressive environments. 🔗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/dz8YnDyF #Meta #Oversightboard #Contentmoderation #Humanreview #Automatedsystems

Meta Platforms (META) shares surged 4% today, driven by Morgan Stanley's 'Top Pick' designation, strong momentum from the Ray-Ban smart glasses launch, and renewed investor confidence in its ambitious AI infrastructure strategy. Despite recent market headwinds and significant capital expenditure, Meta's core advertising business continues to show robust growth, alongside expanding its presence in consumer hardware and artificial intelligence. This rebound signals a strong belief in Meta's long-term vision and its commitment to leading the AI revolution. #Meta #AI #SmartGlasses #Investing #TechNews #StockMarket #Innovation

MSFT & META Bull Case in Market Priced for Fear Talked $MSFT // $META and ENERGY on Schwab Network this week with Jenny Horne. Very pertinent after META's +8% pop yesterday. Recorded during a live interview. Markets move quickly and conditions may have changed. For educational purposes only. Not investment advice.

Meta mentioned "metaverse" and "Horizon" exactly zero times in Q4 2025 earnings. Two years ago these words defined the company. Now they are gone from the vocabulary of executives who once staked $36 billion on them. This week Meta acquired an AI agent social network and an agent developer platform. The pivot is complete. The language confirms it before the strategy does. Watch what companies stop saying, not just what they start saying. The most honest signal in any earnings call is the word that disappears.

Meta just released Muse Spark- their first model in a year, and it’s immediately landing at the top of multiple leaderboards. This isn’t a specific metric-spike. Muse Spark is placing strongly across both specialized and agentic workloads, signaling a real jump in broad capability. On Vals, Muse Spark took #1 on TaxEval (v2) at 77.68% — new SOTA. This is one of the most stable leaderboards in our suite. It rarely changes at the top, and when it does, it's worth paying attention to. It also ranks #2 on Finance Agent (v1.1) and #3 on the overall Vals Index. We tested with 140k context window, 131k max output tokens, and multimodal input — built for long-form analysis and multi-step agent tasks without cutting off mid-run. At 329s latency, it's in line with the other models at the top of the leaderboard. The models winning these benchmarks aren't optimizing for speed, but they're optimizing for thoroughness and precision. This is Meta’s first drop in a year and they came back with a frontier model topping the leaderboards. Huge congrats to the Meta team on this standout release!

Two frontier releases in 48 hours!! Meta dropped Muse Spark out of Superintelligence Labs, and Anthropic announced Mythos with coalition access only because it's been finding zero-days in every major OS and browser. (OMG! Reading their release, some of these are decades long paragons of industry???) Anthropic being closed is nothing new lol, but Meta going closed at the frontier is a real shift from the whole Llama strategy. If Meta stops releasing open weights at the top end, am worried what that'll do to the western open source model landscape! Still gonna throw Muse Spark at my eval suite the second API access opens up though, curious how it handles long-form narrative coherence. I'm hearing spectacular things from my community already!! Oh my gosh I just LOVE MODEL RELEASES!! 😁 (Psst. Deepseek V4 Gray release, I see you!~ 👀 )

Trend alert from my car Over the weekend the WSJ ran a piece about 2 different AI projects at Meta. The first was described as a chief of staff for Mark Zuckerberg, the second, an agent described as second brain for the organization. As Joonas Makkonen pointed out earlier this week, they're building Dobbins. To be clear, to anyone who works at Meta, we are totally open for business. Operators are standing by. Stop wasting time building your second brain or your chief of staff. Joonas already built it. Meta's Dobbin can be ready for the whole team to work with tomorrow. But I digress. The main thing here is we are entering the era of the coordination layer. That's what Dobbin is and does. That's what's possible today. Stop screwing around letting your whole company operate in AI silos doing interpretive dance about your company without a choreographer. The market has shifted. There is an understanding that there are massive gains in productivity that can be unlocked, but the raw energy of an LLM needs to be harnessed and directed through the right system to make that unlock possible. That's Dobbin.
