Here’s what happens: 🔹 Every commit triggers a build in GitHub Actions 🔹 The app is containerized with Docker 🔹 The image is pushed to AWS 🔹 The container runs automatically on EC2 No manual steps, no SSH, just pure automation. 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭: What I Learned from Deploying a Flask App with Terraform Spinning up a Flask app on AWS EC2 with Terraform looked simple until I actually did it. The biggest takeaway? Automation saves time only if you understand what’s happening under the hood. I realized how Terraform isn’t just “infrastructure as code”....it’s “infrastructure as understanding.” Each block you write teaches you more about how AWS actually works. Next time, I’ll focus on adding variables and modules to make it reusable....because that’s where Terraform really shines.
