Hybrid and distributed work still needs alignment, visibility and connection. Otherwise, it turns into missed context, duplicated work, and decisions living in someone’s head. Has your team set clear ways of working for remotely?

The business case for an offsite is not complicated. Remote and hybrid teams lose something that in-person ones take for granted: the informal moments. The side conversation after the meeting or the inside joke that becomes shorthand for months. The moment someone shows a different side of themselves and you trust them a little more because of it. You can’t manufacture those moments in a Zoom call, but you can create the conditions for them in person. That’s what a well-designed offsite actually does. The conditions like the place, the pace, the food, the lack of laptops at dinner. Italy, specifically, is very good at creating those conditions almost naturally. I’m building Offsite Italy around that idea: that where you go and how the days are designed matters as much as what’s on the agenda. If you lead a people function and you’re thinking about how to invest in your team this year, I’d love to hear what you’re trying to solve for.
