Senior Security Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Security Analyst will work collaboratively as a key member of the global security operations team. The analyst will operate and tune security technologies to detect and respond to security incidents, maintain, and follow procedures for security event response, and participate in security investigations. The senior analyst will partner with key stakeholders across IT to improve the overall global security posture and contribute innovative ideas to scale and improve the security operations program.

This is a hybrid Newton, Massachusetts based position with a global product design and technology company.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

5+ years of experience as a Security analyst

Hands-on experience with incident response and security investigations

Experience with defense-in-depth strategies

Configuring and managing security tools and devices

Troubleshooting security-related issues

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Experience with SIEM and EDR platforms

SentinelOne EDR

SIEM tools – Google SecOps preferred

Knowledge of AWS/WIZ for Cloud Security

Web/email security tools – Zscaler and Proofpoint preferred

Strong knowledge of operating systems and network protocols

Experience with firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems

Familiarity with TCP/IP, networking, routing, and switching

Experience with vulnerability management and penetration testing concepts

Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, or similar)

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Investigate, analyze, and respond to security incidents, including tracking through resolution

Perform regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and support remediation efforts

Evaluate security tools and technologies to support ongoing improvements

Serve as a subject matter expert for security-related issues and contribute to policies and procedures

Maintain the integrity and security of systems and sensitive data

Collaborate with IT and business teams to support security initiatives

Participate in validation and optimization of security tools and processes
