  • Our Think Tank initiative continues to prove a powerful truth: Some of the most impactful ideas come from those closest to our members and providers. By creating a space where frontline voices are heard, empowered, and partnered with leaders, Think Tank fosters a culture where innovation is practical, inclusive, and deeply rooted in real healthcare needs. From improving member understanding and reducing friction, to leveraging AI responsibly to enhance advocacy and experience, the ideas shared reflect how everyday insights can lead to meaningful transformation. When we tap into the creativity of our people, particularly those who experience challenges firsthand, we unlock better solutions for the communities we serve. This is how innovation takes shape: listening closely, thinking boldly, and building together to make healthcare simpler, smarter, and more human.

  • We recently marked the graduation of the first cohort of the Product Academy in the Philippines. This is an important milestone in how we continue to strengthen Philippine HIMS talent as a global differentiator. As global healthcare shifts from task‑based delivery to capability, scale, and innovation, programs like the Product Academy play a critical role. By equipping talent across functions with end‑to‑end product management skills, we are enabling them to translate operational insight, customer needs, and technology into scalable solutions that drive impact beyond borders. This initiative reflects Optum Philippines’ commitment to developing future‑ready capabilities. Through this and other initiatives, we empower our people to support global healthcare systems and help shape how care is delivered worldwide. Congratulations to our graduates and to the leaders and partners investing in Philippine talent as a key enabler of healthcare transformation.

  • Our team members' purpose drives the impact we deliver and Kath’s why reflects this in action. Through the meaningful difference she creates as a nurse conducting clinical reviews, she ensures that every member receives the right care and right quality, improving healthcare outcomes even after patients leave her care. Her commitment reminds us how understanding your purpose amplifies the impact, strengthens our mission and reinforces why we do what we do at Optum. #OptumPH #OptToGoFurther #WhatsYourWhy

  • At the first HIMAP General Membership Meeting for 2026, industry leaders came together around a shared realization: the Philippines’ strength in global healthcare lies in the capability and readiness of its talent. As the country’s leading healthcare Global Capability Center, Optum Philippines shared insights from the Philippine HIMS Community Workforce Study, developed with HIMAP and Aon Philippines. The Optum-led study was developed to help the sector better understand where today’s skills align with the future demands of global healthcare. The insights presented surfaced a clear call to action: While many organizations acknowledge change, far fewer are acting at the scale required. The conversation with Optum leaders — Samarth M., Atty. Darwin Mariano and Rain Tan, Aon, HIMAP, Mapúa University and Makati Medical Center also reinforced that the Philippine HIMS sector must act with urgency to remain globally competitive by developing depth in capability and inter-sectoral partnerships at scale. Research like the Philippine HIMS Community Workforce Study is part of Optum’’s broader commitment to elevate the entire healthcare ecosystem through meaningful discourse that inspires collective industry action. The Philippine HIMS sector can shape a future where the country is not just a hub for healthcare services, but a global nerve center for healthcare innovation and expertise. What we choose to build together will define how the Philippines continues to lead in global healthcare for years to come.

  • Behind every strong woman leader is a purpose that grounds her, fuels her, and keeps her moving forward. We asked some of our women leaders: “What’s your why?” For each of them, the answer was clear: it’s about creating meaningful impact: empowering change, making healthcare more accessible, and ensuring every patient receives care rooted in compassion and dignity. Today and every day, we honor the women who lead with purpose, courage, and heart. Thank you for the way you show up, for the lives you touch, and for helping shape a future of healthcare that is more human, inclusive, and hopeful. Here’s to women who move us all forward. #OptumPH
