    Big news 👀

Koah just raised a $20.5M Series A led by Theory Ventures! In just 13 months since launching our product, the platform has processed more than 170 million queries and 35 million native ad impressions. We've become the primary monetization method for dozens of AI native apps. The internet continues to transform into a dynamic, personalized, agentic surface. Those surfaces deserve a dynamic partner to help them sustain revenue growth. Koah is focused on quality and long term partner growth. Our formats have next to no impact on user retention, drive superior revenue over every other sponsorship network available, and respect user privacy by targeting only against first party data. Every partner we've worked with has grown significantly since we started. Our conviction shows up in results we've driven for AI apps like Liner, Viro, and Sup AI. 122% CTR lift and 84% increase in monetized surface area after upgrading to LLM-native formats 454% DAU growth alongside monetization, not at its expense Near 100% retention with Koah-powered ads in live chat environments Luke Kim, CEO of Liner, said: "Since adopting Koah's cutting-edge ad formats, we've consistently increased CTR and coverage, without eroding any of the trust at the core of our product." From Viro's team: "Koah found a way to deliver AI-native ads that our user community actively welcomes." This Series A accelerates our mission to sustain the AI application layer without compromising what makes these apps worth using. Thanks to our investors & believers who have been with us since before inception. Theory Ventures and Tomasz Tunguz Forerunner and Nicole Johnson South Park Commons and Evan Tana And of course Andrew Karam Thanks to our whole team, who are sacrificing much to work on an incredibly ambitious project. We now have almost 20 people and each person makes the team better. Mike Choi Herrick Fang 🙏 - our incredible engineering team Chad Bettencourt, Reese Wahlin, Jake Buglione, TY (Tse Yang) Lim, Benjamin Johnson - our best in class designers Faraz Prentice-Khan, Chris Reilly. Nikki (Kilborne) McDowell and George S. leading our data efforts. And of course Kane Russell, since the beginning, and the revenue team Ayumi Rogers, Olivia Utton, Jesse Hunt, and Jon Maroun. Thanks to our advisors, of which there are too many to thank. Particular shout out to Jason Morse, Brian Chu, and David Vespe. To my wife Isabelle Rossi de Leon who not only gave me the opportunity to be here, but is also now helping us at Koah and coordinating our external narrative! Thanks to all our customers who trust us as a primary revenue stream and with their users. Learn more about the fundraise and our vision in the blog post and article below (links in comments). If you haven't tried monetizing with Koah yet, give it a try!

Great perspective on the impact Agentic Commerce (and LLM/Chat) services will have on commerce by Michael Komasinski. While I think there will be some cannibalization of market share in specific verticals, very much aligned that product discovery (top of funnel research) is already changing as users diversify their shopping journeys. Advertising (sponsored products) will absolutely be part of the ecosystem and companies like Koah Labs are on the frontier of developing the formats/recommendation/user experience to bring value to shoppers, retailers and brands.

Agentic commerce doesn’t replace existing channels — it expands the entire ecosystem.   On stage at Web Summit, our CEO Michael Komasinski shared how we see the future of commerce at Criteo in this new era of AI. And as he put it, we’re not big believers in monoculture.   History backs that up. Just look at how ecommerce expanded retail rather than replacing in-store shopping. Agentic commerce will follow the same pattern, becoming a powerful new channel alongside others.   Watch the clip, then read Michael’s blog to get the full perspective: hub.criteo.com/ujxhx

At Koah, we’re continuously learning and experimenting to understand what works and what doesn’t. What’s becoming clear is this: advertising in GenAI is fundamentally different than other channels. Specifically, here are three key insights from our latest experiments: 1. GenAI Expands the Funnel — Users explore, compare, and decide within chat 2. Context Beats Placement — Organic first, then paid 3. Optimizing the Post-Click Experience Matters — Especially on mobile 🧠 Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/eDchKczU

Co-Founder @ Koah Labs | Monetize your AI App

Proud to announce that Koah has raised a $5M seed round led by Forerunner with participation from South Park Commons and AppLovin cofounder Andrew Karam. In 8 months, we’ve helped apps collectively representing 100M+ users find a new, sustainable monetization stream through AI native advertising. We’re quickly becoming the standard monetization platform because we consistently deliver the highest revenue per user vs. other ad networks, while having next to zero impact on user retention. Setup takes minutes—AI app developers just drop in our SDK and immediately start making $10+ eCPMs. Inventory is filled with premium advertisers, and formats strive to improve the user experience by delivering highly relevant content natively. This seed round will accelerate our mission to democratize the easiest and most scalable monetization method for all consumer AI apps, big and small. We’re building more formats, better ad matching, smoother experiences for end users, and bringing on the world’s best advertisers to make Koah a simple solution for consumer AI apps to make money without compromising user experience. Thanks to our early investors & believers. Nicole Johnson, Kirsten Green, and Alex Brussell at Forerunner. Special shout to Kira McCroden. Evan Tana, Finn Meeks, Aditya Agarwal, Ruchi Sanghvi and the entire SPC team who have been with us from day -1. Special thanks to Dylan Itzikowitz from that team. And of course thanks to Andrew Karam, who has been instrumental in our early understanding of how great ad networks are built. We have an amazing team at Koah that I know will succeed under any circumstances. Mike and Herrick, Kane, George, Nikki, Chad, Benjamin, Jenny, and our advisors Abhay, Aaron, David, Brian, and Steven. It’s a dream to be building with each of you. I'm very grateful for my wife Isabelle Rossi de Leon for her faith in me, always. Thank you to our customers who trust us with their users and their financial future. We get so much energy knowing we’re making a difference for you. Learn more about the fundraise and our vision in the blog post and article below (links in comments).

Flattered to be named to The Generalist Future 50 by Mario Gabriele. Future 50 is a list of the world’s most promising early-stage startups. Koah was built on the idea that AI apps shouldn’t have to choose between great user experiences and generating revenue. We’re creating a GenAI native ad network that actually works for AI-native products by providing contextual, high-performing, and not the UX equivalent of a pop-up from 2005. Big thanks to The Generalist for recognizing what we’ve known all along: the future of AI monetization is here, and it’s definitely not boring.

The Future 50 is here. Five months ago, we asked +200 of the world’s best VCs to pick the two companies they thought had the highest ceilings. Our only rule: they had to be valued under $200M at the time of nomination. After spending months conducting detailed research and gathering data, we picked the 50 we believe are best-positioned to dominate their respective industries over the coming decades. Find them all here: https://lnkd.in/e9EhZavj And a big thanks to Brex for being our presenting sponsor.
