Manufacturing The Future

About us

Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace and defense companies manufacture rockets, satellites, jets, and ships up to 10x faster and up to 2x cheaper. By combining advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing, we are reinventing how America produces its most critical parts. We recently raised $260 million dollar Series C to accelerate this mission. We are excited to be launching a new Factory in Mesa, Arizona, a 270,000 square foot facility that will create 350 new jobs immediately. We are opening a new headquarters to support thousands of future hires, launching Hadrian Maritime to serve naval production, and introducing a Factory-as-a-Service model that delivers complete systems instead of individual parts. Hadrian works with startups, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and major defense contractors across space, shipbuilding, and aviation to scale production, reduce costs, and accelerate delivery on mission-critical programs. We are backed by leading investors including Lux Capital, Founders Fund, and Andreessen Horowitz. Our fast-growing team is united by a shared mission to reindustrialize American manufacturing for the 21st century and beyond! It’s official: Hadrian’s Factory of the Future 4 in Cherokee, Alabama is open. More than 4,000 Alabamians joined us to mark the moment and show what is possible when we build in America again. This is not just a ribbon cutting. It is the start of a new chapter in rebuilding our industrial base alongside the US Navy and national leadership. We also formalized a historic public-private partnership with the Navy: $2.4 billion total, including $1.5B in private capital and $900M in Navy investment. Factory 4 is a 2.2 million sq ft, Physical AI-powered facility designed to mass-produce critical components for Virginia- and Columbia-class submarines. It will help resolve long-standing bottlenecks, create more than 1,000 high-skill jobs in Alabama, and accelerate submarine production at a moment when speed and scale matter. As Secretary of the Navy put it, this is not just another factory. It is a new model of production. Raw material in, integrator-ready hardware out, running continuously. A modern arsenal of American sea power. This project represents a broader effort to revitalize the U.S. maritime industrial base. Leaders across Congress and the state of Alabama made clear that rebuilding shipbuilding capacity, strengthening defense readiness, and expanding economic opportunity all depend on investments like this. Factory 4 is also a major commitment to the Shoals region. It brings high-quality jobs, long-term economic growth, and advanced manufacturing back to a place that is ready to lead. We are deeply grateful to our partners across government, industry, and the local community who made this possible. From state leadership to local economic development teams to our investors and collaborators, this was a collective effort. Factory 4 itself reflects that ambition. Designed with inspiration from the factories that powered the Arsenal of Democracy, it is reimagined for the AI age and the future of submarine production. The work to reindustrialize America is just beginning. It will define whether we lead the next century or fall behind. We are here in Alabama to build.

  • Hadrian was in Mobile this week for the Gulf Coast Defense Industrial Base Workforce Summit, where our VP of Federal, Mike Manazir, spoke alongside industry leaders driving defense manufacturing across the region. The Gulf Coast has been delivering for the Navy for generations, and the work ahead demands we move faster together. Hadrian is focused on accelerating submarine production by expanding who can contribute to it: through on-the-job training in Factories of the Future, new technicians are fully ramped in under a month, so anyone ready to work can contribute to the mission from day one. The Summit made one thing clear: the Gulf Coast isn't waiting around. This is a region that has always delivered, and right now there's a shared urgency to do it faster, better, together. That's the kind of momentum that actually moves the mission forward. It's why Hadrian is here. Hadrian is excited to be part of a community with a history of delivering results, and we're committed to strengthening relationships across the region for the long haul. Many thanks to the Gulf Coast Defense Industrial Base Workforce Summit for inviting us to join the discussion, and to the ALABAMA DEPARTMENT OF WORKFORCE, Alabama Community College System, and Bishop State Community College for hosting. Finally, a particular thank you to Lindsay Cline of the US Navy Submarine Industrial Base for facilitating a sharp conversation amongst leaders from across the region.

Today, we celebrated the opening of Factory 3 (F3) in Mesa, Arizona, a major milestone in Hadrian’s national expansion. F3 is our first interstate facility and a key part of our growing U.S. manufacturing footprint. The 290,000-square-foot factory combines AI-powered production, advanced robotics, and skilled American workers to deliver speed, scale, and reliability for the nation’s most critical industries. We were honored to be joined by Governor Katie Hobbs and Representative Andy Biggs, and we’re grateful to the City of Mesa, the Arizona Commerce Authority, and the Greater Phoenix Economic Council for their partnership and support. Mesa’s deep industrial roots and strong local talent make it the right place to build the future of American manufacturing, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Back in July, we partnered with Hadrian to announce their new AI-powered manufacturing facility in Mesa. Then, CEO Chris Power told Bloomberg: “Arizona’s been great to work with on the practical stuff like permitting, workforce, getting energy connected to the building – all these basic things that are harder to do in some states.” Just six months later, the vision becomes reality. Today, we’re cutting the ribbon on this future-forward facility that will help shape the next era of aerospace and defense manufacturing. A huge thank you to the entire Hadrian team for their commitment to Arizona, and to all our partners in Mesa and beyond who made this possible! This week, we welcomed the U.S. Ambassador to NATO, Matthew Whitaker, to Hadrian, joined by Ambassador Nicholas Merrick of the Czech Republic, Ambassador Joseph Popolo of the Netherlands, and Ambassador Tom Rose of Poland. These visits matter, not as ceremony, but as signal. As Ambassador Whitaker said, “This week, we are witnessing innovations that deliver wins for U.S. manufacturing and our nation’s military capabilities.” That observation aligns with the reality of the work itself. Industrial strength, defense readiness, and alliance credibility are tightly linked, and progress in one depends on progress in the others. The focus during the visit was on what can be done now, not abstraction or platitudes. Leaders walking the floor, direct conversations about constraints, timelines, and scale, and alignment on how advanced U.S. manufacturing capability can be built quickly at home and scaled to NATO allies in ways that meaningfully strengthen collective readiness across the Alliance and beyond. This is what commitment looks like in practice. Honest discussions about what it takes to move from intent to real, deployable defense capability. Protecting what matters starts with building faster than our adversaries, and making sure that speed and capacity extend to the allies who stand with us. Production is deterrence.
