  • For actuaries, ReConnect 2026 will be one of the most relevant industry gatherings of the year. Taking place at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, on April 16 & 17. The issues discussed range from regulatory frameworks and capital standards to evolving policy priorities, which shape the environment actuaries work within every day. On day two, we are looking forward to listening in on the panel on Regulatory and Actuarial Trends in Global Reinsurance, moderated by Andrew Mais, Senior Advisor at Deloitte.     CIRCA’s Social Committee, in partnership with the Cayman Actuarial Network, participated in the annual Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce Careers, Education & Training Expo on Friday March, 27.  They connected with students and young professionals exploring career paths, providing an opportunity to highlight the range of roles within Cayman’s growing reinsurance sector and to share insights on opportunities available locally.

  • Meet one of CIRCA’s Rising Stars of 2024, Aryana Grant, Senior Analyst at KPMG in the Cayman Islands.    Aryana holds a Master of Science in Actuarial Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science. She began her actuarial journey with KPMG in June 2021 as an intern and has since progressed to Senior Analyst through dedication and excellence. Aryana was most recently involved in CIRCA’s ‘Reinsurance Insights: Career Pathways’ event as a panelist, sharing with students on her path to becoming an Actuary.    Hear more about her journey in this video.

  • The Cayman Actuarial Network (CAN), led by past CIRCA Regulatory Committee Chair Rachel Funk, hosted its first student networking mixer back in July, 2025. The event brought together local students and practicing actuaries for an evening of discussion on career opportunities in actuarial science, a field that plays a key role in the reinsurance sector. CAN is committed to connecting aspiring professionals with the industry and showcasing the skills and knowledge essential to supporting its continued growth.
