In the 1990's, I started running into a particular late-night TV preacher. It seemed like a moderately low-end show. He would appear with his wife at a desk (there were no worshippers or audience present), and they were white, the wife was blonde, and they were at least middle-aged or older. The primary thing that stuck out to me is that the climax of the show would always be him saying that the rapture was imminent, and he knew who the antichrist was, and this was always a world political figure. For example, I recall that throughout his tenure as UN Secretary General, Boutros Boutros-Ghali was identified as the antichrist (which would be 1992-1996). Of course, after that time he'd switch to another world leader and then another (I think commonly the head of the UN or EU, possibly China). But the particular pick would be consistent for several years.
I was in New England when I first ran into this, but I assume it was a nationwide syndicated show. I ran into the show again sometime in the 2000's, and was surprised that they were still on, with the exact same show structure (and of course one of the then-prominent political figures as antichrist).
I think possibly in the 2010's I ran into the show once again with only the wife hosting, and I assume the man had passed away in the intervening years. Internet searches to identify them have failed me pretty hard to date.
I want to guess that the man's name was "Jack", because I have a memory of him handing off to the wife, and her saying brightly, "That's right, Jack!".
Who was this TV preacher couple?
