We're an early-stage AI startup building technology for D2C consumer brands. We help businesses make smarter decisions and operate more efficiently through thoughtfully designed software.
About This Role
This is not a role where you hand off wireframes and call it done. You'll own the experience end-to-end — from understanding what a user actually needs to do, to making sure the final product feels effortless to use across web and mobile. You'll work closely with the product and engineering teams, and be directly involved in how our solutions look, feel, and move for real business users.
If you've ever been personally offended by a confusing dashboard or a clunky mobile flow — you'll fit right in.
What You'll Do
Research & Discovery
Sit in on client conversations and translate messy business workflows into clean user journeys
Ask the uncomfortable question: why does this screen even exist?
Build user personas, flow maps, and journey diagrams that the whole team can work from
Design for users who are not tech-savvy — field operators, brand managers, warehouse staff
Design & Craft
Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity screens for both web dashboards and mobile interfaces
Own the motion layer — design micro-interactions, transitions, and animated states that make the product feel alive and intentional, not static
Build and maintain a design system that works across web and mobile and keeps things consistent as the product grows
Make data-heavy interfaces readable, not overwhelming — hierarchy, spacing, and typography are your primary tools
Know when animation enhances the experience and when it gets in the way
Collaboration & Delivery
Work directly with the APM to translate requirements into design specs developers can actually build from
Stay involved through development — review implemented screens and flag deviations before they go to clients
Participate in user testing with clients and iterate based on real feedback, not assumptions
Push back when something is being built that will confuse the end user
You're a Fit If You…
Have a strong point of view about good design — and can defend it calmly
Think about why someone is on a screen before deciding what goes on it
Understand the difference between mobile UX and web UX — and don't design one like the other
Are just as comfortable in low-fidelity sketches as you are in polished, animated prototypes
Have an eye for detail but know when to ship vs. when to perfect
Communicate design decisions in plain language, not design jargon
Background We're Looking For
1–3 years of experience in UI/UX design with exposure to both web and mobile products
A strong portfolio — we care more about your thinking than your aesthetics. Show us a problem you solved, the motion decisions you made, and why
Proficiency in Figma (non-negotiable) including prototyping and auto-animate
