Building a developer ecosystem before launch pressure-tests every assumption you have about #DevRel... As we get closer to taking Midnight live, I wrote down the patterns that actually held up while the platform was still evolving. What early-stage developer ecosystems get right: 1. Engagement programs must create directional movement, not just participation 2. Docs, tooling, and support collapse into one experience for developers 3. Credibility is earned through consistency, not scale 4. Retention comes from removing friction, not increasing visibility 5. Flat teams outperform rigid hierarchies in early ecosystems 6. Small, well-instrumented communities out-iterate large, unmeasured ones 7. DevRel is becoming an operating system, not a job title I expanded on each of these in a longer piece here: https://lnkd.in/edFiW7Mf I'm super curious which of these aligns (or conflicts) most with what you’re seeing right now. Would love to compare notes with those building early ecosystems!
